Southampton's Business Improvement District
About us
GO! Southampton is the Business Improvement District (BID) for Southampton City Centre. Funded and led by local business, the BID is using its 5-year term to implement a range of initiatives that will create a greater city entre experience, deliver better marketing and events and develop stronger business. Working in partnership with local stakeholders, the BID’s ultimate aim is to realise Southampton’s potential as a world-class city, which will in turn benefit residents, visitors and the businesses that fund it. About Southampton: Southampton is the major city on the South coast and one of the region’s fastest growing, with a population of over 250,000 and a catchment area exceeding two million people. The city offers a top 20 UK university education, a shopping experience ranked in the UK’s top 20 and employment for 33,000 people in the city centre alone. The Business Improvement District was set up in April 2017 with the aim of maintaining and building on this position, ensuring that businesses continue to thrive, and that they are able to capitalise on the many new opportunities arising in this dynamic city. By setting up GO! Southampton as an independent, not for profit Business Improvement District, Southampton businesses can positively influence the future of our city centre.

We've been back out in the city centre installing some of our floor stickers, designed by Nathan Evans. These will hopefully act as a reminder to visitors that despite the roadworks, it's Business As Usual in Bedford Place and Carlton Place!
